Bowl - Celadon - Reduction Fired -A25/15
Handmade wheel-thrown bowl in white stoneware with a celadon glaze.
These are one-off pieces, thrown off the hump. The reduction atmosphere of the charcoal sagger inside the kiln creates the colour from iron in the glaze.
Fired to cone 6 in a charcoal reduction firing saggar, then fired again to cone 5 in oxidation.
My maker's mark is brushed on the base in black underglaze after the foot ring has been turned by hand.
